Annual Objectives

Annual objectives within 10xGoals will help organizations relentlessly focus on long term goals by executing on them every quarter.

How to create annual goals? Annual goals are not enabled by default for everyone. Please reach out to our services team or write to [e-mail] to enable this.

Once it is enabled, you will see Annual objectives next to quarterly objectives in the cycle selection dropdown.

Once you are in the annual objectives space, you can create objectives with annual time frames.

Key results for these annual objectives can also be created in this space. These are high level initiatives which will help achieve annual company objectives.

Annual objectives space is different from other execution cycles. It has a different background and only “All Objectives” is available in this space. Teams can create their annual objectives here as well. Summary dashboard and Userboard is hidden in this space.

How to align annual objectives with quarterly execution cycles?

Align helps to have a connection between annual objectives and quarterly execution cycles. By aligning, one can know which quarterly objectives are contributing to its progress and plan future work accordingly. Aligning can be done in 2 ways:

Option 1: Align objectives which are created in respective quarters with annual objectives.

Step 1: On hover of an objective, +Align button is shown. Click on the button

Step 2: For aligning existing objectives with annual objectives, against each quarter, click on the align button.

Step 3: From the list of objectives, select the one you want to align the respective annual objectives and click on the “Align” button

Option 2: If objectives are not created in respective quarters for aligning, create one from annual objectives space for auto-alignment with an annual objective.

Step 1: On hover of an objective, +Align button is shown. Click on the button

Step 2: Click on create “Create & align objective” button against each quarter.

Step 3: Enter the objective details & click on “Save”

On successful save, objective will be automatically created for that quarter and aligned to the respective annual objective

What happens after an objective is aligned with the annual objective?

Once aligned, you can view the aligned objectives by hovering over the respective annual objective.

You can view the quarterly objectives against each annual objective and also, unlink the alignment if needed

Can we see if a particular objective is aligned to the annual objective from the quarter cycle?

Yes, from the quarterly cycle, one can view the alignment of that objective with an annual objective. Click the 3 dot menu against the objective and click on "View alignment to annual" option.
